NEW FOR 2017 EQUIPILATES SESSIONS!

Fiona has recently qualified as an EQUIPILATES BIOMECHANICS TRAINER (EBT) and will be running both assessment days for individual session and is hoping to run a 6-8 week equipilates weekly class, venue TBC. These session will help to identify areas of dysfunction which can affect your symmetry in the saddle and ability to effectively shock absorb while riding which ultimately influences your horse. Your pelvis is the first area which has to adapt to the horse’s movement when riding and if there are any restrictions in joint mobility, nerve dysfunction or muscle tension in this region that can cause the pelvis to tilt, twist, rotate or hike which will have a knock on effect on your lower leg, ribcage, shoulders and head! These session will look at your posture and your gait in depth from your feet upwards to help target the areas of your body that may be causing you discomfort or just making you feel wonky in the saddle or just stopping you from achieving that flying change on the right rein! Due to an interesting 2014 I have decided to extend my maternity leave until the end of the year. Unfortunately my associate Silas Keeling has decided to leave us due to the long commute from Tavistock just being too far, and he has now moved to another practice up near his home. As a result a colleague and good friend of mine Anne Marie Squire will be covering the practice in Oxygen Health Club on two Saturdays before Christmas and I am hoping to return to practice in January 2015 when I hope to catch up with you all and all your news. Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year 2014!

New Arrival!

After a long wait, 8 days overdue I finally gave birth to my little boy Kobi Charles Dix, born at 5.58am on Monday 6th January 2014 by emergency c-section after a 26 hour labour! He weighed in at 7lbs 9oz and within 10 days had already grown and weighed in at 8lb 5oz!

We are both doing well, little frustrated that we have to rest up but all important for the healing process…….

My colleague Silas Keeling is now working Monday and Wednesdays at the Oxygen Health Club and is continuing to cover my clinic until I am able to return to work which I hope to around Easter time but keep checking back as I will keep the site updated.

Remember that if you recommend anyone to our clinic, if they book in as a new patient you will receive your next treatment for half price.

Hope you are all having a happy and healthy 2014 and looking forward to seeing you all soon!
